It was a very hot, hot day.
Alligator wrestling – they let someone from the audience choose which gator he would wrestle. There were some tense moments.
If you can get an alligator on its back, it will fall asleep. The way you wake it up is by tickling its sides. This was part of the show called “alligator wrestling.”
Teasing the alligator with a piece of chicken
One of the shows was called “Gator Jumping” and they would hang pieces of chicken from the rope and the alligators would jump out of the water to get it. They had this show about every 4 hours and when it was getting close to the time for a show, the water started churning with alligators.
I loved this. A Great Egret bird riding the back of the alligator in the pond.
These were BIG gators who were out of the water to sit in the shade. It was a very hot day even for alligators.
We were in the shade for these pictures with the parrots.
A white alligator. It is not an albino, but a pigment of a less dominant gene.
This is a wood stork. It is so named because its head looks like a tree limb. They have black feathers under their wings and look beautiful when they are flying.
We followed this peacock down the path

Mom, I didn't know you were posting on your blog!!! Fun pictures. Dad should have wrestled an alligator. Would've been a great story!! Once in a life time Dad!!!
