Jerusalem Marketplace

Ross and Edith in costume for the Jerusalem Marketplace for Cocoa Stake Youth Conference
City Gate into the marketplace. The gate was constructed and put up by the missionary elders. Erik, Renee, Lizzie, Mary and JP Jacobsen. Erik is the general manager of the ranch and Renee is the mastermind behind this Jerusalem marketplace and is the ward's seminary teacher.
Potiphar's Pottery Barn - the youth were to make something from play dough. As an incentive to visit our store, we gave them a capri sun when they finished their creation. Also, they each had a card that needed to be punched for every shop they visitied.
David and life-size Goliath
The youth were to sling a water balloon at the life-size Goliath. It was not an easy thing to do. Goliath was hit in the shoulder once and in the knees and ankles a few times. Many balloons went flying into the busy shoppers. HE HE
Our shops are in little stalls which is really underneath the bleachers on the rodeo grounds. A perfect place for all of our marketplace.
Tiffany Crosby - my partner in the pottery business
The Quilted Camel operated by Sister Randall and Sister Welch. They gave the girls jeweled veils to wear. It was cute.
Roberta Underhill and her goats roaming the city streets.
Jonah's Bait and Tackle Shop - Elder Randall had very long bamboo fishing poles that the youth would use to try to hook a bag of candy from the big tub in the back of the shop.
The stake took pictures of the youth in this shop.
Paula Mortensen and Elyse Hassel
Abinadab's - Elder Jenson ran a game of chance by letting the youth throw pennies into seashells and they were able to keep the pennies that they successfully landed.
Jerusha's Jewels ran by Sister Jenson and Sister Walker. The youth made dangles from jewels to hang from their cameras, phones, or whatever.
Samson's Gym - ran by Adam Hassel - the youth had to do chin ups and work the homemade barbells

Rachel's Well - they served drinks
Delila's Beauty Shop ran by Roberta Underhill and Jackie Justesen - and they washed feet and gave facials.
Tammy JustesenShe had the cart full of nuts, raisens, dates and seeds for people to eat

Deborah's Deli - the youth received icee pops
Mordecai's Blacksmith Shop with Jordan Mortensen and Rex Justesen
Sariah's Bakery with Sister Campbell and Sister Mortensen - the youth received a bagel and could choose creme cheese or honey to put on it.

The harlot - she played her role very well. Kids trying to work the sling in the background.

Crowded streets of Jerusalem
Lehi warning the people
Preaching in spite of the angry crowd
The nonchalant crowd watching Lehi and not really listening to his warnings.
At this point, Lehi leads the faithful people of Jerusalem out of the city and into the wilderness.
